All groups that wish to visit the Museum, including educational visits, must make a booking in advance using the online system.
Groups that arrive without a booking may not be able to enter the Museum at Kildare Street, or there may be a delay, depending on available capacity.
All groups who wish to visit must use the online system to arrange a booking, with at least a week's notice.
Our current guidelines for group visits reflect the National Museum Ireland Child Protection Policy:
-
All groups who wish to visit must use the online system to arrange a booking, including all of the following: International schools, colleges and universities based in Ireland or abroad, after-school groups, summer camps and language schools, tour groups and special interest groups
-
Please note that we require a supervisory ratio of one teacher/leader to every 15 students for groups with members under 18 years of age. In the case of groups with children under seven years of age, or those with special educational needs, a supervisory ratio of one teacher/leader to every 10 students is required
-
The Group Leader(s) must remain with their group at all times during the visit
-
This will be a self-guided visit (as we are unable to offer guided tours at this time)
